And confined tae wir hoose
We canna meet wir mates or pals
For a coffee or a juice

We canna go out tae wir work
In less that work’s essential
The kids are all aff fae their school
This world has just gone mental

We can ging oot for some exercise
But only eence a day
All the shops are closed up
For three weeks so they say

We’re ha’in tae find wee jobbies
Like cleanin’ oot the drawers
Washing doon the windaes
And polishin’ the floors

All the ironin’ is a’ up tae date
The paintin’ his been deen
The grass is cut, the car is washed
A’things sparkly clean

The shopping’s a’ bin sorted
It was done on-line
The powerhose in the garden
Fairly made the decking shine

We hinna even argued
We’re really getting’ oan
Well maybe just a couple o’ times
We’ve had a little moan

So we’ve bin really busy
Cleanin’ high and cleanin’ low
But fit jobs can we find to dae?
Cos’ there’s still twa wiks tae go.
