Sale of Land - Public meeting

The Braeside and Mannofield Community Council have been contacted by a number of residents concerned that the parcel of land between Airyhall House and Northcote Lodge has been put on the market as a "development opportunity".

Although the site is being sold without planning permission, there is no guarantee that any purchaser might not apply for such permission in the future. The concerns are that access to this area, which is well used by local residents for access to the Airyhall lands, inhabited by birds and other wildlife and with an abundance of wild flowers and majestic trees, will be restricted or removed.

The Community Council wish to gauge the feelings of the community and to discuss possible options and ways forward to ensure that access to and through this piece of natural woodland is not compromised.

As a result, we invite residents in the Community Council area to air their views at a "virtual" public meeting starting at 7pm on Wednesday 28 July 2021.
